Your brain was
made for this.
A rhythm-based regulation tool for ADHD brains. No drums required. A pillow and ten minutes will do.
The app is coming. Waitlist members are first in.
The science, briefly
Rhythm is the mechanism.
ADHD brains show real, measurable differences in timing.
Rhythm training is one of the most direct ways to work those exact systems.
The early research is promising. We’ll show you precisely what it says, and what it doesn’t.
Beatwired is built on what’s established, encouraged by what’s promising, and clear about what’s unknown.
How it works
Four steps. Ten minutes.
Check in
One tap, three states: overwhelmed, balanced, or under-stimulated. The whole session reshapes around your answer.
Get your session
Ten minutes: warm-up, focus, warm-down. Built-in permission to stop around the halfway mark, no shame attached.
Play
On a pad, a tabletop, or your own two knees. The metronome and timer carry you.
You showed up
Progress that celebrates consistency, never grades performance.
The pattern library
Real hands, every pattern.
Eighteen patterns, three of them free forever. Each one is a short looping video, a simple grid, and what it does for your brain.
One pattern, up close.
Steady Quarters, streaming from the same library the app plays. One full pass of the chart, looping clean. Unmute it: under the drums you’ll hear the app’s own quiet count on the rests, baked into every film.
Steady Quarters · 65 bpm · every pattern in the app looks like this: overhead, real hands, one full pass, looping.
Why this exists
“Every activity, every interest, every phase came and went. The drums stayed. That told us something.”
My dad is a drummer. He put sticks in my hands when I was three years old — before I could spell my own name, I could hold a beat.
Growing up with ADHD, everything else came and went. Interests, hobbies, phases, plans. The drums never did. They were the one place my brain felt like an instrument instead of a problem.
We didn’t know the science then. We didn’t know about timing networks or inhibitory control, or why a few minutes on a practice pad could turn a bad day around. We just knew it worked.
Years later, the research started catching up to what our family had lived. My dad — a drummer first, a physician of nearly twenty years — read the studies and saw our story in them.
Beatwired is us giving back a little of what I was given: a steady beat, from someone who cared.
